Qing Dynasty double-edged jian from China, dating to 1850–1900, overall length 86.5 cm, with galuchat scabbard and bronze fittings, in excellent condition and not supplied with a stand.

Twin Jian swords, China 20th century.
Scabbard in shagreen, pommel, guard and ring in pierced bronze.
The guards are bronze with double inverted quillons decorated with a dragon, the wrist-bands are horned.
The pommels are lobed bronze with engraved motifs (rivets missing).
The blades are double-edged, decorated with a 7-star constellation in copper, joined by a filigree engraved on both faces of each sword.
The sword is in excellent condition, no loss of shagreen, no cracks in the grips, slight play in the assembly, very beautiful patina, excellent uniformity of the swords within the scabbard."
