Julius de Praetere drukte een achttal boeken op zijn handpers in Sint Martens Latem bij Gent. Naast boeken van Stijn Streuvels, Vondel, Gezelle, Teirlinck en Karel van de Woestijne drukte hij dit exemplaar "Natuur" van Rene de Clercq (zie drukfout van De Praetere op foto) in een oplage van 300 op Hollands papier. Dit is nr.207.
Karel van de Woestijne hielp hem daarbij. Het restant werd eind 1903 door Veen in omloop gebracht.

De handpersdrukken van De Praetere zijn zeer gezocht en het enige voorbeeld van Vlaamse art nouveau boek-uitgaven.
Voor wat betreft de staat van het boek: zie de foto's. De sluitlinten ontbreken, zoals zo vaak. De leren omslag is op de rug bovenaan beschadigd, maar voor de rest is het boek, gezien de leeftijd, in goede conditie. De versiering van JdP is in het paars gedrukt.
