Set of 9 crystal flutes from Val Saint-Lambert – Lalaing & Metternich models, early 20th century
Elegant set of 9 cut-crystal glasses from the prestigious Belgian crystal maker Val Saint-Lambert, comprising:
6 glasses, Lalaing model
3 glasses, Metternich model
Two emblematic models with closely related lines, characterized by their vertical facets and elaborated feet. The set is visually very harmonious: the difference between the models remains discreet and is mainly at the base, imperceptible once the glasses are arranged on the table.
Very good overall condition for antique pieces:
Drinking rims flawless: no chips, no cracks
Walls in excellent condition, crystal clear and bright
To note:
a few micro-nicks and small scratches on certain feet
one glass showing a small chip at the foot (see photos)
These defects remain localized to the bases, do not affect sturdiness or use, and stay very discreet in presentation, the play of crystal light naturally catching the eye.
