You are bidding on a fully authorized repro EDI tiin of one of the most famous lithograph designs by Hugo d’Alesi (French / Romanian, 1849-1906 - also known as Friedrich Hugo Alesi or Friedrich Hugo Alessi), "Lac D"Annecy" lithograph in colors, ca. 1900.
Hugo d'Alesi who was best known for his exceptional travel posters commissioned by railroad lines. This composition features Lake Annecy in the Haute Savoie with a view of La Tournette which rises 2500 meters from the lake. In the foreground, D'Alesi featured the boat La France which would later sink; this location has become a favorite diving spot. A stunning original French travel poster by Hugo d'Alesi.
