Magnificent purdonium or English coal bucket in Victorian style from around 1890. An antique fireplace accessory used to recover either coal or ashes from the fireplace. A magnificent object that adds a beautiful decorative touch beside an old fireplace.
The bucket comes with its shovel and its original cast-iron metal box.
Beautiful original patina with necessarily traces of use essential to its antique appearance.
Very solid. No structural fragility.
