Description
A decorative set of two antique Chinese blue-and-white porcelain plates from the Qing dynasty, made for the European export market in the late 18th to early 19th century.
The plates are richly decorated with a classic Chinese river landscape featuring pagodas, a bridge, and figures, rendered in underglaze cobalt blue. The broad border is adorned with a distinctive combination of geometric and floral motifs, typical of export porcelain from this period.
The gently undulating edge and subtle kiln marks on the underside confirm the handmade character.
