Antique plant stand / pedestal – turned legs – early 20th century
An elegant antique plant stand from the early 20th century, crafted with characterful turned baluster legs and a refined cross joint. This charming pedestal is a typical example of the artisanal furniture that was popular in Dutch interiors around 1900–1920.
The table stands on four beautifully turned legs, also known as “bobbin turned legs.” This type of turning work was widely used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The legs are connected by an elegant crossframe with a central knop, which is not only decorative but also provides stability.
The top has a warm, deep wood color with a beautiful natural grain pattern. The lightly curved edge gives the piece an elegant appearance.
