Five vintage containers and boxes, including an antique metal coffer with a probably bronzed finish and damascated silk exterior and red velvet lining, several silver pill boxes and a bone tobacco box, all in very good condition.
Description from the seller
a small collection of vintage boxes and containers. the lot consists of:
-1 antique metal jewelry box set, I think bronze-gilt, finely worked with an image of a 19th-century lady in the central part. The inner parts are presumably ivory, but I do not have sufficient experience to be sure. They are arranged in a radial pattern. The interior of the box is fully lined with carmine red velvet, and the outside bottom is in damask silk.
External measurements: 115.5 cm by 11.5 cm. The conditions are very good, albeit with some signs of time such as oxidation on the gold parts and the presence on the lid of a material I cannot identify (as in the photo)
-1 pillbox in 925 silver with part of the lid finely worked and with a central burgundy-colored stone and tiny rhinestones. Excellent condition, normal patina of time, typical of silver.
-1 pillbox in Indian silver, worked and engraved by hand, with a central stone. Excellent condition.
-1 tobacco smoking box, oval shape. Presumably carved bone. Small, almost imperceptible chipping on the lid and a flaw on the bottom. overall it is in excellent condition.
-1 small perfume bottle holder worked with a Greek key motif. At the summit of the cap there is a mark that appears to bear the 800 mark. The inscription is partially visible. Excellent condition, patina typical of silver.
