The work, of ancient origin, is made with luxurious materials such as scagliola and Carrara marble powder.
Sculpture depicting Hermes, messenger of the gods and deity of commerce and travelers. The bust shows Hermes with a proud and distant gaze, an expression of his intelligence and divine role. The curly hair and harmonious features recall classical statuary. On the right shoulder a fragment of the cloak is visible, one of his iconographic attributes.
Please note that the object is removable from the base.
