All items are shipped from Japan.
This is a pair of Kutani ware vases.
They feature a soft celadon-toned glaze with delicately painted floral motifs in underglaze blue, creating a refined and tranquil aesthetic characteristic of Japanese ceramics. The fine crackle (crazing) visible throughout the surface is an intentional effect from the firing process, adding depth and natural texture to the pieces.
The elegant form, with a slightly flared rim and well-balanced proportions, enhances their presence as a matching pair. These vases work beautifully both as functional flower vessels and as decorative objects in an interior setting.
A mark is present on the base; however, it appears to be in the Kutani tradition rather than attributable to a specific identified artist.
Each vase comes with its original wooden box, and both have been well preserved.
⸻
■ Condition
One vase has a small protrusion (burr) inside, which occurred during the manufacturing process (please refer to the photos).
The crackle seen across the surface is an intentional result of the firing process and should not be considered damage.
Otherwise, there are minor signs of age and use, but no noticeable chips or major damage. Overall, both pieces remain in good condition.
