Magnificent cake/sandwich platter in fine porcelain from the famous Hungarian manufacturer Herend, pattern "Chinese Bouquet Apponyi" featuring orange flowers and hand-painted gold borders.
The origin of this pattern is linked to Count Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of the Fleurs des Indes was created.
The Herend porcelain manufacturer specializes in luxury porcelain painted and gilded by hand. It was in the mid-19th century the supplier to the Habsburg dynasty and European aristocracy.
