Montblanc Simplo Nº 2 fountain pen in resin/polyester, made in Germany, 12.2 cm long and 1 cm in diameter, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
A0000004349
The pen is presented in excellent overall condition, especially notable given its age and its nature as a piece from the 1920s–1930s.
The body and cap in black black-ebonite preserve a deep, uniform shine, with an elegant patina from the passage of time. No cracks or deformations are observed, maintaining a solid and well-preserved structure. The engravings, including the characteristic “Montblanc Simplo,” remain visible and legible, adding collectible value.
The gold clip shows light, homogeneous wear, with partial loss of plating consistent with age, contributing authenticity without compromising its aesthetics or functionality.
The nib in 14-karat gold is in very good condition, well aligned and without visible deformations. It preserves its original geometry and promises smooth writing, with the flexible character typical of these historic pieces.
The safety-style filling system is complete, with the mechanism present and no signs of aggressive intervention. As usual with this type of pen, it shows signs of use consistent with its age, without affecting its integrity.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, with an excellent balance between originality, functionality, and aesthetic presence, ideal for both collection and occasional use.
Conservation recommendations
