The surface features Yohenumemon (kiln-transformed plum crest) decorations, a technique where temperature variations and flame contact create specific color patterns on the plum motifs. The bowl is sized for practical use in tea ceremonies. Artist Profile: Born in Saga Prefecture in 1933. In 2000, his work was exhibited at the Saga Prefecture Ceramics Exhibition held at the British Museum.
