Granite mortar adorned with a very simple yet delicately carved vegetal motif.
It has a slight defect on the upper rim.
Probably used for opium. Being granite, its attribution to South India seems logical, where this material was carved.

Seguramente usado para opio. Al ser de granito, parece lógica su atribución al Sur de India donde se realizaba la talla de este material.
