Dit prachtige, authentieke Delfts blauwe wandbord is vervaardigd door de wereldberoemde koninklijke aardewerkfabriek De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft). Het bord is uitgegeven ter gelegenheid van de geboorte van Prinses Beatrix op 31 januari 1938.

Het bord is volledig met de hand geschilderd en rijk aan symboliek. Centraal staat de Nederlandse Leeuw in een omheinde "Hollandse Tuin", met een vaandel waarop de tekst "'t is Oranje, 't blijft Oranje" prijkt. Achter de leeuw staat een bloeiende Oranjeboom, het symbool voor het Huis van Oranje-Nassau.

Fabrikant: De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft), Delft.
Jaarcode: 'BH', wat staat voor het jaar 1938 (geboorte jaar).
Materiaal: Delfts aardewerk (tin-geglazuurd).
Techniek: Traditioneel handgeschilderd onderglazuur blauw.

Afmetingen en gewicht:
Diameter: ca. 25,6 cm.
Hoogte/Dikte: ca. 3 cm.
Gewicht: ca. 460 gram.

Conditie:
Het bord verkeert in een goede vintage staat. Zoals gebruikelijk bij authentiek aardewerk uit deze periode, is er sprake van een mooi, gelijkmatig craquelé in de glazuurlaag, wat de ouderdom en authenticiteit van het object onderstreept.

Een waardevol verzamelobject voor liefhebbers van het Koninklijk Huis en klassiek Delfts Blauw.
