Exceptional Chondrite Meteorite – Deep Regmaglypts, Fusion Crust and Spectacular black shock veins - 1113 g

---- Description : ---- I am pleased to offer this remarkable chondrite meteorite weighing 1113 grams, discovered in Morocco in 2025. The specimen preserves a large portion of its original black fusion crust, formed during the meteorite’s fiery passage through Earth’s atmosphere. The surface also displays well-developed regmaglypts, the characteristic thumbprint-like depressions commonly found on meteorites. One of the most striking features of this meteorite is the presence of numerous black shock veins. These veins formed during powerful impact events in space, when parts of the meteorite briefly melted and molten material infiltrated fractures within the rock before solidifying again. A long period of natural weathering in the desert has sculpted the meteorite in a particularly unusual way. The surrounding stony matrix, being softer, was gradually eroded by wind and sand, while the shock veins proved more resistant. As a result, these darker veins now stand out prominently on the surface, forming thin plates and layers that give the meteorite a striking millefeuille-like layered appearance, reminiscent of the famous French pastry composed of many stacked layers. This combination of fusion crust, regmaglypts, and exposed shock veins makes the specimen visually spectacular and scientifically interesting. It is the first time I have encountered a meteorite with such a distinctive natural structure. ----- Offer Meteorite : ----- Meteorite type: Ordinary chondrite Origin: Morocco Year found: 2025 Observed fall: No Weight: 1113 g Shape: Natural individual Surface features: Regmaglypts and large areas of preserved fusion crust Structure: Numerous black shock veins visible on the surface ----- History & Presentation : ----- This meteorite was discovered in the Moroccan desert in 2025. Over time, desert weathering gradually eroded the surrounding stone matrix. Because the shock veins are harder than the surrounding material, wind-driven sand preferentially eroded the softer matrix. This natural process has revealed the veins in relief, producing a layered structure that resembles a millefeuille, with thin natural plates stacked together. This rare natural weathering effect highlights the internal shock structures of the meteorite and gives the specimen an unusual and highly aesthetic appearance rarely seen in chondrites. ---- Authenticity : ---- Guaranteed authentic Moroccan chondrite meteorite. Exceptional Chondrite Meteorite – Deep Regmaglypts, Fusion Crust and Spectacular black shock veins - 1113 g

---- Description : ----

I am pleased to offer this remarkable chondrite meteorite weighing 1113 grams, discovered in Morocco in 2025.

This meteorite was discovered in the Moroccan desert in 2025. Over time, desert weathering gradually eroded the surrounding stone matrix.
