Table lamp - Bronze - Neoclassical Style Cherub

Beautiful Neoclassical lamp made of gilded bronze, of Italian origin, circa 1920s-1950s.

This lamp starts from the base, which is a marvel of cast bronze with elaborate scrollwork, floral motifs and mascarons, offering excellent visual and physical stability.
Then, a material resembling alabaster, in the shape of an urn or bowl, provides a soft texture and warmth that contrast wonderfully with the metal.

The central element is a full-bodied winged cherub figure, sculpted in gilded bronze (ormolu or gilded patina). The figure stands on a stylized pedestal, holding what appears to be a quiver or a bundle of arrows, which could identify it specifically as Cupid, the god of love.

Dimensions: 37 cm tall and 16 cm in diameter.
