Description from the seller
Set of 9 mouth-blown and hand-cut crystal water goblets. Cylindrical shape slightly flared toward the top, with a thick, rounded internal base that provides stability and a sense of robustness to the glass. Short, shaped stem with a 'rocchetto' or baluster element, serving as an elegant connector between cup and base. Base: wide and flat, ensures excellent balance, finished with a thin gold profile along the edge. The true protagonist is the ornamental frieze that wraps the upper part: gold band: A wide band in fine gold surrounds the glass. Inside this band is engraved a scrolling floral motif (rinceaux) in transparency, creating a play of contrasts between the polished metal and the glass. Fillets: above and below the main band there are thin parallel gold lines that frame the decoration. The rim of the glass is finished with a thread of gold. Condition: slight losses in the gilding. Italian manufacture (Empoli, Florence) dating from the mid-20th century. Measurements: height 12.6 cm x diameter 6.8 cm.
