"Swiss music table" mechanical music table – wind-up music box – marquetry – ca. 1950

Elegant mid-century music table with integrated Swiss mechanical movement (wind-up). The small table is made of mahogany and executed in a classical style with curved cabriole legs and a beautiful top with decorative veneer and inlay work.

After winding, the table plays a melody via a mechanical music mechanism, which gives it a charming and nostalgic character. Such pieces were popular as decorative furniture in salons and living rooms in the mid-20th century.
