Rosenthal - Tureen - Porcelain

This (soup) terrine is made of ivory-colored porcelain, featuring a splendid floral decoration and adorned with gilded borders and details.

Also attractive to collectors.

The terrine is in excellent condition and, in keeping with its age, shows very light wear to the gilded decoration. The terrine is completely intact.

Dimensions approx.: 17 cm high x 21 cm in diameter.

The Rosenthal Art Department was founded in 1908 and marked the beginning of a new era in the history of the porcelain factory Ph. Rosenthal & Co. AG in Selb. The department was established as a necessary complement to the production of fine ceramics.

The aim of the Art Department was to execute the painting designs and sculptural works of the best German artists with the utmost care. The guiding principle was: only artistic execution in combination with flawless technique leads to a perfect result.
