Dagger of Jambiya type – low-purity silver
Origin: Oriental work (Yemen or Oman), 20th century.
Decor: Rich ornamentation in filigree, granulation and raised geometric motifs. Repoussé work on the handle in the shape of a "T".
The Scabbard: Completely covered with a chased metal plate. It shows complex geometric patterns, interlaceings of twisted metal threads and raised diamond motifs. It is fitted with two lateral suspension rings.
The Hilt: Traditional "T"-shaped, stylized form featuring a central floral decoration and decorative rivets. Its dark patina highlights the reliefs of the repoussé work.
The End (Bouterolle): The tip of the scabbard ends in an elegant conical button, providing visual balance to the piece's curvature.
Condition: Beautiful patina of use, complete with its suspension rings. A few bumps, some corrosion spots on the blade.
