Putto Bottiglia - Flask - Earthenware

Inspired by rennaissance-style this earthenware bottle was created around 60s-80s and was handpainted in blue and yellow with a cherub, or putto in italian, a winged child character holding two wreaths and its backside is ornamented with a flower on a small piece of earth painting. Designed with a spout for pouring or drinking, the flask was constructed with two folded ceramic bands, wich serve for leather straps when transporting it around the shoulder. This type of vessels were usually used in pilgrimages for carrying holy water, but can easily serve in decorative purposes also.
