Dimensions (approx):
Length: 33 cm and 37 cm
Maximum blade width: 3.8 cm
Description:
A rare and evocative pair of Balinese ritual knives, linked to the Suddha-Mala purification rites. The blades, oval-shaped and elongated, have one flat side and the other decorated with silver inlays in wavy and vegetal motifs inspired by Hindu symbolism.
The handles, in wood, are entirely clad in silver leaf, now characterized by a beautiful natural patina. The ends are sealed with resin or pitch, in accordance with traditional local techniques.

Good overall condition for vintage items.
The iron blades show oxidation and surface wear compatible with age.
There are slight losses and abrasions in the silver inlays.
The silver fittings retain an authentic, undisturbed patina.

Swiss Art Market
Notes:
Ethnographic objects of this type are increasingly appreciated for their strong ritual value and decorative impact. The presence of the pair enhances their collecting interest.
