Art Deco oak plant table pedestal dating from the 1930s (1930–1940), in good used condition with minor signs of aging and small spots; top measures about 24.5 x 24.5 cm, height 65 cm, and legs spread about 25 cm.
Description from the seller
Beautiful Art Deco plant stand (pedestal). The table is made of oak. It weighs about 1.7 kg, is 65 cm high, and the top measures about 24.5 cm by 24.5 cm. The legs are about 25 cm apart. The table probably dates from the 1930s. You can regard the table as an Art Deco piece of furniture. It is not a refined piece, but a sturdy little table that could have stood in every home in the pre-war years.
Due to temperature fluctuations, the top in particular has a slight warp (see photos). This is common with this kind of antique plant stands.
The oak wood is medium-oak stained. When the table is waxed and buffed (this should be done at least once a year), it shines wonderfully!
The table can be used as a plant stand, but also as a pedestal (see photos). It can even serve as a side table. In any setting this table is a beautiful, fitting piece of furniture.
The table remains particularly stable. There is hardly any movement in the joints.
This plant stand will be carefully packed and shipped insured.
