AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

18th-century ‘Dramglass’ / ‘Kanonnetje’ with kousslinger, ca. 1750

Offered is a characterful and rare so-called dramglass, also known as a cannonette, dating from the 18th century.

This type of glass owes its nickname to the heavy, thickened foot, which allowed it to be placed firmly on the bar. This was often accompanied by a distinct “pop,” which explains the name cannonette.

The glass is finished with a handsome white kousslinger in the stem: a decorative, spiral inlay that is typical of high-quality 18th-century glassware and beloved by collectors.

Dimensions:
Height: ca. 11 cm. Bowl diameter: ca. 5.5 cm. Foot diameter: ca. 6.5 cm. At the bottom there is a clearly felt pontil mark, indicating hand-finishing and authenticity.

Condition:
In very good condition. Normal signs of use and light irregularities inherent to hand-blown glass from this period.

A special and decorative collectible, cherished by antique glass enthusiasts.

The lot will be carefully packed and shipped.
