Large-format statue, 58 cm tall, depicting a Trappist.
Made in Germany circa 1950

This wooden statue depicts a smiling monk, often referred to as a Trappist or Brother Conrad. Such figures are often associated with the Oberammergau region in Germany, known for its tradition of woodcarving.
Nowadays it is placed in a man cave or outdoor kitchen. Beer enthusiasts will surely appreciate the statue. Especially because of the Weizenbier. Trappists are often depicted on it.

Symbolism: The monk is depicted holding a beer stein or jug in his hand and keys on his belt, referring to his role as cellar master or brewer.
