Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pen with a red marbled resin body, made in the United States, in good used condition with minor signs of wear and a fully functional 18K gold nib, length 13.6 cm and diameter 1.2 cm.
Description from the seller
A0000004411
The pen is presented in very good general condition, showing remarkable preservation both aesthetically and functionally.
The body in red marbled resin maintains excellent gloss and depth of color, with the characteristic veins well defined and no noticeable discolorations. There are light micro-signs of surface use, typical of the passage of time and careful use, but with no cracks, dents, or structural defects. The black areas (the butt cap and cap) also retain a good finish, with minimal signs of handling.
The gold elements — clip, rings and adornments — are in very good condition, with a uniform shine and no significant loss of plating, which enhances its visual appeal.
The solid 18K gold nib is in excellent condition, with no deformations or abnormal wear, maintaining proper alignment and smooth writing. The feed is clean and in optimal working condition.
The filling system has been inspected and tested, functioning correctly, guaranteeing a reliable writing experience from the first use.
Overall, it is a very well preserved piece, fully functional and ready for use or collection, with light signs of use consistent with its age.
Conservation recommendations
It is advised to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens and avoid pigmented inks. If not used for a long period, clean with warm water, dry completely before storing, and keep in a dry place, away from direct light and extreme temperatures. Always operate the filling system gently to preserve its mechanics in the long term.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
Happy bidding!
