This fine white nephrite jade Scholar’s thumb ring (archers ring) has superb detailed carvings of 4 taotie or monster masks, with Chinese characters. Highest quality homogeneous white nephrite jade thumb ring, with no impurities! An exceptional and valuable scholar piece, very hard to find!
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color.
