Description from the seller
Here, Master Blender Dr. Barry Walsh has pushed the boundaries. He has created a whiskey that is both exceptionally aromatic and complex. Only three pure pot still whiskeys, each aged in different Oloroso sherry casks, were deemed worthy of being blended into Jameson 18, giving it a fragrant, delicate nose, a characterful, muscular body, and a powerful, intense finish. The youngest whiskey is 18 years old, and the oldest has been aged for as long as 23 years. These whiskeys are then blended in bourbon barrels for at least another six months. A composition that will leave a lasting impression on you.
The whiskey first hit the market in late 2002 and remains very hard to come by, as Americans and Japanese have bought up nearly all available stock and continue to do so. Jameson 18y won the “Import Blend of the Year 2003” award at the 2003 New York Whisky Fest, and the U.S. magazine “Food & Wine” named it “Best Irish of the Year 2003.”
The whiskey comes in an elegant gift box, and each bottle is individually numbered.
