This semi-translucent jade sculpture is carved in the Chinese taste, with an eye for detail, like the teeth, claws and hairs. This pixiu sculpture is robust and ruggedly shaped. Hard to find! Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color.
