Description from the seller
Large Vista Alegre Porcelain Vase – "Red Chinoiserie" – Pure Monochrome – 28cm – Mint Condition
A rare and sophisticated porcelain cabinet vase by the renowned Portuguese manufacture Vista Alegre. This large 28cm piece features the exquisite "Red Chinoiserie" pattern in a pure monochrome execution, without gold accents, highlighting the striking beauty of the iron-red (Rouge de Fer) palette.
Design & Aesthetic:
The vase is decorated with finely detailed oriental scenes, including birds, floral motifs, and traditional garden architecture. By omitting the traditional gold gilding, the focus remains entirely on the masterful precision of the red brushwork. This minimalist "unichrome" approach is highly sought after by collectors for its timeless and architectural appeal.
Condition:
In absolute Mint Condition. No chips, no cracks, and no signs of wear. The glaze is brilliant and the red pigment remains deep and vibrant.
Authenticity:
Marked on the underside with the green Vista Alegre Portugal crown stamp, dating this production to the high-quality 1980-1992 period.
An exceptional statement piece of Portuguese porcelain, perfect for a high-end interior or a specialized collection of monochrome ceramics.
