Unclassified Ordinary Chondrite Monster!! - 2175 g
The specimen has been polished on one face, revealing a rich iron-nickel matrix with large metallic inclusions and visible chondrules. The meteorite is most likely an L or possibly an H chondrite, with a probable metamorphic grade of 5 or 6. Its unpolished surface preserves a well-developed, dark, glossy fusion crust covering approximately 60% of the stone. In some areas, chondrules can be seen through the crust. Its overall shape suggests that it may have been oriented during atmospheric entry.
I am a member of the Meteoritical Society (#7743) and have been collecting meteorites for over 15 years.
