Description from the seller

A farm girl standing in the Autum fields. Autum being busy and a worrying time for farmers, her facial expressions is mixed, maybe happy with this year's harvest but knowing that a long cold winter is just around the corner. Omori often painted people who were under represented in society, working class people using taraditional Japanese Nihonga style hand painted with the classic gold background. Whilst most traditonal Nihongas depict a auspicious topic, Omori's paintings always a darker tone to its theme. Truly a one of a kind painting from mid to late 20th century.
