European and Murano Glass

Beautiful Murano-style bowl, partly made from uranium glass and manganese glass. It glows under UV-395 (photo with purple light) and UV-365 light (photo where the vase lights up brightly), which confirms the use of uranium and manganese. Uranium and manganese were not only used in Murano glass, but glassmakers such as Val Saint Lambert, Doyen, and Scailmont also made use of them. The uranium concentration is low, but it is still visible (see photos with purple light).

The bowl is in very good condition with minimal chips at the bottom that are visible in the photos.

Prachtige schaal in murano-stijl, voor een deel vervaardigd uit uraniumglas en mangaanglas. Deze geeft licht onder UV-395 (foto met paars licht) en UV-365 licht (foto waar de vaas fel oplicht), wat het gebruik van uranium en mangaan bevestigt. Uranium en mangaan werden niet alleen gebruikt in muranoglas, maar ook glasproducenten zoals Val Saint Lambert, Doyen en Scailmont maakten er gebruik van. Het concentratie uranium is wel laag, maar het is nog steeds zichtbaar (zie foto's met paars licht). De schaal is in een zeer goede staat met onderaan minimale chips die te zien zijn op de foto's.
