Origin: Metz Region / Franco-German Border (Lorraine Elite)
Description:
Exceptional set of 28 high-quality lead crystal glasses. This service originates from the city of Metz, in the heart of Lorraine, a region historically renowned for its world-class crystal makers. Each piece is adorned with a deep, hand-engraved motif, neoclassical (garlands and knots), crowned with a wide 24-carat gold-polished rim.
Condition (Honest and real description):
The service retains its historical prestige, with natural signs of aging on only 3 pieces:
Two glasses: show slight wear to the gilding on the upper rim.
One glass: shows a small chip at the base of the foot (visible in photo).
The remaining 25 pieces: are in very good condition, with the crystal’s brilliance and gilding intact.
Technical characteristics:
Sound and Music: This crystal possesses a unique resonance. To the touch, it emits a long, deep vibration, combining the purity of a church bell with the melodic vibration of an oud (lute) string.
Composition (28 pieces): Water glasses, wine glasses, and liqueur coupes.
