Arran 1996/2016 – Single Sherry Cask #654 – Bottle 2/280 – Limburg Whisky Fair Anniversary AND 25 Years Arran Birthday

An exceptionally rare single cask release from the Isle of Arran, distilled in 1996 — during the very first years of the distillery, founded in 1995, making this an early-era Arran expression of significant collector interest.

Matured in a single sherry hogshead (#654) and bottled in 2016 at natural cask strength (54.8%), this whisky was released exclusively to celebrate the Limburg Whisky Fair 15th Anniversary and the 21st anniversary of the distillery.

Only 280 bottles were ever produced worldwide.
This particular bottle is number 2/280, placing it among the very first bottles filled from the cask — an extremely desirable detail for collectors, as bottle #1 is typically retained or disappears immediately into private collections.

Single cask releases from Arran’s early production years are becoming increasingly scarce, especially in such limited quantities and with full provenance.
