- very popular tree type for bonsai design due to its small, numerous, and serrated leaves
- the slightly peeling bark also reinforces the image of an old tree already in young years
- easy to care for, as it is very robust and tolerant of pruning

Our Standards:
- Each bonsai is delivered with a sample pack of our preferred organic bonsai long-term fertilizer.
- To determine the trunk width we place the measuring instrument at mid-height between the root base and the first branch (see example image). In the case of multiple trunks, the widest is selected.
- All of our trees are planted in a substrate mix developed specifically by us.
- Where available, we reuse old packaging for shipping, out of consideration for the environment.
- The trees are watered before shipping, protected against drying out, and securely fixed in the outer carton.
- Shipping is insured.
- Service providers are commissioned who state they typically deliver the goods within a maximum of 4 working days.
- We ship on the following Monday after payment is received on Catawiki to avoid weekend delivery delays.
