Art Deco - Coffee set (4) - Silverplated

A beautiful 4-piece Art Deco silver-plated tea and coffee set in a matching diagonal swirl ribbed design, made in Sweden and dating to the 1920s–1930s. All four pieces have the same flowing form. Each body is decorated with wide diagonal ribs that spiral around the surface and catch the light beautifully, sitting on a smooth round pedestal base. The light patina that has developed over the decades adds to this, settling into the grooves and giving the ribbing even more depth. The set consists of a large pot with a folding rope-twist swing handle over the top and a domed lid with a pointed finial, a large serving bowl with the same folding rope-twist handle, a sugar bowl, and a creamer. The interior of the pot is clean and in good condition. All four pieces are stamped NS, indicating silver-plated. The pot is hand-engraved with 13x50 and the bowl 4x75, likely model or inventory references. The serving bowl shows some wear, with some age spots and surface wear to the silver plating on the inside, and one small dent to the rim edge. Nothing serious, and it does not affect the overall impression of the set. The remaining three pieces present very nicely, with light surface wear across all items. Beautiful-looking Swedish set with a wonderful design. Pot: Height (with handle): 22 cm Height (without handle): 17 cm Width: 21 cm Depth: 13 cm Serving bowl: Height: 7.5 cm Width: 21.5 cm Diameter: 20.5 cm Sugar bowl: Height: 7.5 cm Width: 15 cm Depth: 9 cm Creamer: Height: 7 cm Width: 12 cm Depth: 7 cm Total weight: 1163 g Please take a good look at the photos, which are an integral part of the description. This lot will be carefully packed, so it will get to its new owner exactly as it should.
