A 20th‑century beige ostrich egg set in a silver‑plated metal three‑leg stand with fish‑like supports, measuring 38 cm high, 12 cm wide, 12 cm deep and weighing 1 kg.
Description from the seller
Very decorative and exceptional antique object, consisting of a real ostrich egg set in a richly worked silver (presumably silver-plated) mount.
The piece stands on an elegant three-legged base. The legs are supported by graceful fish figures. On top is a finely detailed figurine of an ostrich, giving the whole a playful and unique character.
This type of object was produced in the 19th century as a luxury salon decoration or curiosity, often in the Victorian style and beloved by collectors of unusual and exotic objects.
Very decorative and rare object
Many photos have been added so that the condition of the figure can be assessed well. Also a photo with a pen so the size can be clearly determined.
Photos are part of the description.
The egg is carefully packaged, sent by registered mail and insured with a tracking code.
Shipping to the United States is not possible.
