An exquisite and rare porcelain teacup and saucer from the renowned Meissen manufactory, dating to the celebrated Marcolini Period (1774–1814).
The set features a delicate lobed or "scalloped" shape, expertly hand-painted with vibrant floral sprigs in the "Deutsche Blumen" style. Each flower is rendered with botanical precision and artistic flair, characteristic of the late 18th-century Enlightenment period. Both pieces are finished with a fine hand-gilded rim.
Markings: Underglaze blue crossed swords with a star/dot between the hilts, identifying the Marcolini directorship.
Condition: Excellent antique condition, no chips or cracks. Minor age-related wear to the gilding.
2) Vintage Hutschenreuther Neoclassical Porcelain Teacup & Saucer - Gilded Musical Trophy Decor
Description:
A stunning mid-20th-century porcelain teacup and saucer by the renowned German manufacturer Lorenz Hutschenreuther (Selb). This set features a classic cylindrical "Litron" shape, heavily decorated in a Neoclassical revival style.
The central motif depicts a "Musical Trophy" including a lyre, pan flute, and trumpets, framed by delicate laurel wreaths and geometric gold patterns. The rich gilding is applied with great precision, typical of Hutschenreuther’s premium production.
Markings: Green underglaze mark "Lorenz Hutschenreuther - Germany" with the lion logo (dating 1955–1969). It also features a hand-painted signature/pattern name in gold on the bottom.
