A 4/4 violin labelled G. Ornati, dated 1953, in excellent condition and tested as working and playable.

You are bidding on a 4/4 violin, labeled Giuseppe Ornati fece in Milano Anno 1953 G.O.M G.Ornati. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks.
The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The original varnish of golden reddish color remains in good condition. The whole length of the violin is 591 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 168 mm; middle bouts: 113 mm; lower bouts: 206 mm. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich, warm, sweet and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions.
