On offer is a fine full sized master violin, labeled: "Giuseppe Lecchi allievo di Cesare Candi fece in Genova 1939".
Back length (excluding bottom of neck): 360 mm.
Total length: 593 mm.
The width of the upper bouts: 169 mm; middle bouts: 117 mm; lower bouts: 212 mm.
The instrument is ready to play with no cracks. New ebony fittings, new Aubert bridge and new strings.
The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll; the table is likewise matching of high quality, of straight high grained spruce. The sound is sweet, rich, mellow, powerful.
