Nettuno is one of Italy’s oldest fountain pen manufacturers. the date it was registered, indicates that Nettuno established in 1911. The origin took place in Bologna where Vecchietti’s Family owned the prestigious pen store A.C. Vecchietti. The name Nettuno (the god of sea) came from the statue of Neptune that stands in Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore, a symbol of the city since time immemorial. The appearance and quality of the pens are very high and often associated with the OMAS firms due also to the friendship with Armando Simoni since before the business. In the early nineties NETTUNO re-introduced the brand’s in collaboration with Omas and the first pen manufactured was the stunning Superba model like the version of the 1940. The pen has a stunning green marbled Celluloid seen only in the Nettuno Pens. It is a Limited Edition of 911 pens worldwide and this is the number 19.
