AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Up for auction is an amazing full size master violin.
The label says: "Dominicus Montagnana sub sigurfuni Cremonae Venetiis 1722". Very beautiful in appearance. The violin is in good condition, professionally restored in our workshop, with professionally repaired cracks, grafted scroll, bushed peg-holes, good bridge, new ebony fingerboard and new strings. Very nice two pieces narrow flamed maple back with matched ribs and neck, straight high grained spruce top. Golden-brown-reddish varnish over lighter ground remains in good condition.
Length of back is 362 mm,
whole length is 598 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 168 mm; middle bouts: 119 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. Full size.
The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power.

Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind
