Jacob Stainer,Violin maker
(c. 1617 – 1683)
1. A Stainer violin , circa 1880.
2. Year of manufacture =1880
3. Country of manufacture = Southern Germany
4. No cracks, minor scratches, otherwise nice condition.
5. Measures in cm: Length of the body (LOB), Total length of the instrument is 59cm, Upper Bout=17cm, Middle Bout 10cm and lower Bout=20cm.
6. Extra items included (hard velvet-lined case, strings)=A decorative Tail-piece inlaid with mother-of-pearl, 4 tuners along with a "P.D.F" Stamped Collector's Brazilian bow.
7. A sound-post is installed and the violin has no cracks, but only some minor age-related marks, otherwise in good condition.
8. The violin is in perfect working order, has been tested and sounds wonderful.
