Description from the seller

Title: Wine Still Life

School: European (19th century)

Style: Realist still life

Technique: Oil on canvas

Classically composed work that represents a refined still life arranged on a stone or marble shelf. In the center of the scene stands a white wine glass accompanied by a cluster of white and black grapes, apples, grape leaves and small dried fruits, creating a harmonious and balanced image. The dark background enhances the luminosity of the main elements and adds depth to the composition, while the treatment of light and textures underscores the sober, naturalistic character of the work. The result is an elegant and serene scene, highly representative of the European still life tradition of the 19th century.

The brushwork shows attention to detail in the transparency of the glass, the sheen of the fruit, and the natural fall of the leaves, reinforcing the sense of volume and realism. By chronology, it presents restorations.

The work is presented framed with a dark-toned wooden frame, of simple and classic design, with an interior moulding carved in a spiga or twist. It suitably accompanies the traditional aesthetics of painting and enhances its decorative presence.

Observations:
The frame is included as a gift. It may suffer damage during transport although it is properly packed.

The works are shipped uninsured and, if an insurance for the transport of the work is desired, you must communicate it to us beforehand by private message; if it is not requested, we will not take responsibility for any damage that may have occurred during transport.

Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by surcharges due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge.

Due to issues at the Switzerland border we are obliged to inform that shipments with more than 1 meter in length or height to that destination will not be sent.

Measurements: 54 x 69.6 cm; without frame: 40 x 55 cm
