Description from the seller
Vintage White Horse Fine Old Scotch Whisky - 1970s
Description
A superb example of White Horse Fine Old Scotch Whisky, bottled for the Italian market. This bottle features the iconic "White Horse Cellar" branding and dates back to the mid-to-late 1970s.
This specific bottling is of high interest to collectors because, during this era, the White Horse blend was famously "heart"ed with significant amounts of Lagavulin single malt, giving it a more robust and peaty character than modern iterations.
Bottle Details
• Distiller: White Horse Distillers Ltd. (Glasgow & London).
• Importer: G.B. Carpano - Torino (noted on the bottom of the front label).
• Volume: 0.75 Liters (Italian standard "da litri 3/4").
• Strength: 43% Vol. (Typical for the export market of that era).
• Tax Strip: Italian "Stella" star tax strip for Acquavite di Cereali (Grain Spirit), series AG No. 494376.
Condition Report
• Level: Excellent. The fill level is in the high neck, which is perfect for a bottle of this age and suggests a very tight seal.
• Seal: Original metal screw cap and tax strip are fully intact and unopened.
• Label: The main label is clean with sharp colors. Minor aging is visible on the tax strip, but it remains fully legible.
• Glass: Clear, no chips or cracks. The bottom of the bottle confirms "Liquor Bottle Scotland."
