AGOSTINI Tony was born on April 29, 1916 in Bastia, and died in 1990 in Antony.
He is a painter of lively scenes, figures, urban landscapes, interiors, still lifes, flowers, a gouache painter, and draftsman.
He is inspired by the post-Cubist movement.
During an administrative career, he knew Gen Paul, Carc and Marcel Aymé in Montmartre and then turned to painting. Perhaps influenced by Gen Paul in color, at once striking and somber, and in form, he observes strict Cézanne-like principles sometimes bent by Cubism. In his early days, a painter of crowds and of the squares and streets of Paris, he later favored still lifes.
He has exhibited in several Paris annual salons since 1953, as well as participating in group exhibitions abroad (New York, San Francisco).
