Antique glazed ceramic tankard with a hand‑worked pewter lid, dating to 1890–1900, 15 cm high, 10 cm in diameter, 310 g, produced in Switzerland, multicolour with relief motifs of the Rhonegletscher and Edelweiss, numbered on the base as 5 in gold.

Tankard, antique beer mug, glazed ceramic, pewter lid work, numbered, c. 1900
Date: 1890-1900
Place of manufacture: Switzerland
Material: Glazed ceramic with polychromy and golds and hand-worked pewter
Themes: Raised relief landscapes of the Rhone Glacier (glacier of the Alpine Switzerland) and Edelweiss flower motif, symbol of Switzerland
Inscription: “Rhonegletscher 23,30 m”
Numbered on the base with the number 5 in a gold hue
Impeccable condition, has always been kept in a display cabinet; in perfect condition, with no restorations or breaks
Dimensions: 15 cm high x 10 cm in diameter
Weight: 310 g
