String of 25 exceptionally fine beads 'Cornaline d'Aleppo', from Murano, circa 1880

This strand counts 25 very old and very rare beads of the Cornaline 'd Aleppo type, also known as 'Yellow Hearts'. Similar - and much more common - beads are of the White heart type.
Usually these beads with the yellow core are in mediocre condition, because the red glass layer around the yellow core is fragile, but this set is in very good condition - never looked so beautiful! - especially when you know the beads were made around 1880 in Murano, near Venice.
Between the large beads and at the start and end of the strand we find a total of 30 white heart beads, these were made around 1930.

Weight and length:
Necklace: 205 grams; length of the necklace 49.5 cm.
Beads: the relatively somewhat larger beads measure 20 x 20 mm. The Cornaline beads at the start and end of the strand measure 14 x 14 mm.

The minimum for this necklace is 165 euros.
